Consultations

The Montessori School of Essex provides consultations and classes for parents, parent groups, and schools. Consultations consist of an initial meeting to discuss a plan and design a customized package.

• Infant and Parent Classes- Interactive ‘mommy & me’ classes where babies, parents, and caregivers come together to learn, share experiences, and provide support.

 

• Parent Education Classes- Clear, simple, straightforward, advice on early-childhood. Learn and share experiences on a variety of topics: separation and attachment, development of language and movement, independence, self-discipline, sleep, mealtime, socialization, aggressive behavior, and so much more!

 

• Prenatal Classes- Parents learn about gestation period, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period.

 

• Bed Rest Assistance- Parents never expect to hear it. We will tailor a plan that best meets your needs.

 

• Labor and Delivery Doula- Provides physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during and shortly after childbirth.

 

• Postpartum Doula- Assistance with newborn care, newborn characteristics, breastfeeding, skin-to-skin contact, role of the father/partner, home environment, and siblings. The impact of support during the postpartum period has significant positive affects on early parenting success and bonding.

 

• Lactation- consultant provides information, support and services for mothers.

 

• Night Nurse- Assistance with in-home night nursing, allowing you a restful night of sleep.

 

• Home Environment- Together, we will design your child’s bedroom, bathroom, play-space, and family spaces for optimal development and independence.

 

• Early Intervention- Speech therapy, physical/occupational therapy, psycho-educational specialist, and tutoring referrals.

 

• Finding a Nanny and/or Babysitter- A Montessori Consultant will help you find the right person to join your family and care for your child(ren).

 

• Referral Service- A list of services and resources available for clients. The list is not all-inclusive, but it provides a great deal of information that clients could potentially need. After meeting with our client, a customized list is made according to the client’s criteria.

 

• Child Development Workshops- A Montessori Consultant will come to you with comprehensive and fun workshops designed to answer your questions and provide you the tools for success. Teachers can receive Act 48 credits. Great for schools, teachers, parent groups, and families.
