Primary

Children ages 2.5 to 5 years old comprise the Primary community. Younger students learn from older students and older classmates gain leadership skills. What better way to solidify what you have learned than becoming the teacher and stewards of the environment.

Students in the Primary Community learn actively through the indoor and outdoor environments; designed to provide freedom of movement and the ability to choose their activities. A Montessori teacher observes each child’s readiness and mastery of lessons to guide them onward. The children learn at their own pace through self-correcting materials, observation, discovery and interaction. Group experiences are part of each day, building community and social skills.

Students in the Primary Community develop a love of their school community and of learning.
